I shot this wedding a while ago, and have been meaning to blog it for a while now. Bruce and Natalie are an awesome couple! Both are amongst Durban's best musicians. Natalie's vocals have earned her national acclaim and anyone who has heard Bruce play the drums knows how incredibly gifted he is. So when they asked my to shoot their wedding, I jumped at the opportunity. They wanted a very simple and intimate day and so I focused on keeping the photographs very natural and relaxed. I was very happy with how they came out. We had a great day, the light was superb and the company was even better. Here are a few of my favourite moments from the day. Enjoy.
I recently had the absolute privilege of photographing Amelda Grieve. She is a super talented stylist with a portfolio that ranges from high fashion in London to more local styling jobs in South Africa. We spent a very windy afternoon taking some great conceptual photographs that captured the essence of Amelda. Super creative, fearless in pursuit of beauty and fun. Here are a few of my best moments. Enjoy
I love this family. They are such fun and when they asked me to photograph them, I did not hesitate one moment. We had a great time on this shoot and here are some of my favourite moments caught on camera. Enjoy. If you would like a family shoot, you can email email@example.com
I have enjoyed photographing little Ella since she was born. Such a beautiful child with the most amazing eyes. This time we had cousins, grand parents and a great grandmother involved in the shoot. So it was quite special to capture a few moments across generations. Family is something I value highly, and so to capture some great shots of this great family makes me happy. Here are a few of my best moments.
I know I featured this amazing family on my old blog but I loved the shoot so much I wanted to post it on my new blog. So, meet the Loubsers. What an amazing family. We had a blast on the beach and the lighting was just perfect. What I loved most about these guys was the warmth and affection they share with each other, especially the little ones.
I recently had the privilege of working with the Amber Jayne team on their Spring Shoot. Amber Jayne is a brand for women who love beautiful clothes. The weather played it's part on what was a typical Durban winters day. Not a breath of wind and blue skies. I had such a great team around me and as always the incredible Lindsay Nixon (Nixon Make-Up) is always such a pleasure to work with. I was really happy with the how bright and colourful the photos came out. Spring really has sprung. So Happy Spring everyone and enjoy some of my best moments captured on the shoot.
That's all for now...
To say that this has been a long time coming would be an understatement of epic proportions. 2014 has been a haymaker of a year. Busy on many fronts with many projects and many great people. I have dreamt of having my own website with a dotcom at the end of my name for years now but the timing has never been right.
So as I sit and type away in mid August, I am pumped for the rest of this year and the next 18 months! I have many exciting journeys coming my way and some great work which I cannot wait to share with you.
So thanks for pulling in.
